Email Announcement

Once you have added email addresses to your project's address book and configured Releaseforge with your email settings you can then send project announcements to a subset of those contacts.

To access the Email Announcement facility select a SourceForge project from the main window and then select Email Announcement from the Actions menu.

Select the email addresses you wish to send an announcement to. You can use the Select All button to quickly choose all contacts for the given project.

Press the Next button to proceed to the message composition page. Enter the subject and message that you wish to send to each of the selected recipients.

Press the Next button to proceed to the review page. The review page allows you to proof the message before it is sent.

reviewing your message

If you are satisfied with your message, press the Send button to send an email of your announcement to each of the previously selected addresses.

Each of the recipients will be sent an individual message. You will see a progress screen of the messages as they are sent. When all of the messages have been sent, you can press the Finish button to close the wizard.
